The Peaches on the Bottom Story

You may have seen this story referred to in our newspaper article where we were featured in one of the two local papers.

Dr. Calderwood's father worked for an auto company as a body shop manager. The man who started the business was in his 80's when he told this story and had long since retired. This gentleman had grown up on a peach farm. His father told him to always place the best peaches on the bottom of the box. He knew that he might not start off selling as many peaches as those who put their best peaches on top, but over time his image would become one of a person that never hid lower quality products behind the good ones.

What his father said was true and people began to purchase his peaches more than those of the other farmers. They knew that they never had to fear bad peaches below the good ones that they saw on top. Dr. Calderwood's father further encouraged him to work as hard for anyone else as he would if he work working for himself. After many years of working construction jobs and as a dental assistant, Dr. Calderwood is happy to be putting that hard work into his own company!
